Jo is quiet, shy, and usually has her head in a book. Jo is most comfortable in her garden, the walls of her bookstore, or out in the forest near her home. Talking with her friend Luci is one of the few times she seems outgoing and chatty.

Trivia: Jo inherited the bookstore from one of the Stuffi that came to the island before her. The books that were tossed aside, washed up on the island, and were sun-dried by putting each page between leaves. It is a long process that needs dedication.
