Hello, I'm Tina the Illustrator
How I discovered that creating is important and why I need your help to bring kindness to as many people as possible.
Our Story Began With A Cork
I was 7 years old when I realized that my art could bring a smile. My grandma would happily receive a picture I drew at her house during the summer. My parents kept the drawings I carefully painted from school on the fridge. I was shy, but found I was able to express my feelings and make people happy through art.
As a adult, I realized that my art could do more. I could bring happiness to more than just my family. Giving my art as gifts to my friends, bringing a smile to their faces made me feel good.
Sometimes my creations were greeted with warmth and smiles. Other times my gifts were put to the side and never mentioned.
This is not about recognition or praise but about sharing a part of myself with others.
I realize that homemade gifts are not for everyone. If I take the time to create a gift for you, that means you are important to me.
After taking a decade long break from creating, I rediscovered the happiness sharing my art brought me. Seeing my toddler's face light up when I made her a simple figure out of a cork, made me realize that creating art is a deep part of who I am.
In 2021 after facing a global pandemic, I opened my stationery shop Stufficorn. This would become the place where I could share my love of art with a community.
Art could not only make people smile but could bring hope and kindness to those around me.
In 2022 when I officially launched my business it became a priority to seek out places I could help with my art.
The Stuffi Friends characters embody kindness, friendship and joy. Each character has their own unique personality. Life isn’t without struggle, but with a good support system and friends who care, you can get through difficult times.
This is a reflection of what I want my brand to be. I want Stufficorn to be the friend that lifts people up when they need a smile.
The Corks That Started It All
I handpainted so many characters. My kid couldn't get enough of these.
